And The Winner Is…

In just a few short days, we’ll finally find out who takes home the big prize. Each year, hundreds of movies are in the running – but now we’re down to five. Five movies that will stand the test of time and will never be forgotten. One of these fives movies will go down in history with other such classics as Catwoman, I Know Who Killed Me, The Love Guru and Showgirls.

Wait, you didn’t think I was talking about the Oscars, did you?

The Razzies is the real awards show that I care about.

You have the heavy favorite, Old Dogs, starring Mrs. Doubtfire and Danny Zuko. You thought that Precious had a hard life? That’s nothing compared to the hardships that Robin Williams and John Travolta have to deal with in this movie.

People keep bringing up Avatar and how it’s changed the way we look at movies. I don’t get it. Have you people not seen G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra? Wow. My head is still spinning from the special effects in that movie. Why are people casting Sam Worthington as the next big action star when the next big thing is obviously going to be Marlon Wayans?

Sandra Bullock is the Queen of the Oscars this year for her role in The Blind Side, but to me she really showed her range and depth as an actress in All About Steve. When she accepts her Best Actress award at the Oscars, Sandra better bring her Razzie with her to show the world what a real award looks like.

Transformers 2. Wow. What can you say about this movie? It’s like District 9 on steroids. I wish that Michael Bay’s special effects could transform itself into a decent script.

And last but not least, there’s Land of the Lost. I know that a lot of people that are pulling for Up to pull off the Best Picture upset, but they should be pulling for Land of the Lost. Up wishes that it had as much creativity, laughter, and heartwarming moments as Land of the Lost did.

Who do I think is going to win? I’m going with Old Dogs. Anybody planning to have a marathon of all five before the Razzies? Which of the nominees are highest (or lowest) on your Flickchart?
